General Assembly is the time in the daily schedule when all the students are invited to come to the hall for one large
all-together class time. By the way, this is the one place that the general
public is more than welcome to attend each day. So what happens there? General Assembly is another opportunity to learn English through a variety of activities. Like what? Like music - lively, encouraging, and meaningful songs are taught. A variety of instruments are used and words are provided and explanations are given. Discussions about significant life changing topics are presented in a simple and enjoyable manner from the Bible. Canadian teachers love to give away prizes that remind students of Canada. And they also love to tell the students about the most important person in their lives: Jesus. We have special days that celebrate some of the special characteristics of our culture. If I could summarize it in one short sentence I would say that General Assembly is a place where English is taught but Life is shared. General Assembly is not something a student of summer institute would want to miss! (Disclaimer: The videos offered by Youtube at the end of this video are not endorsed by us) |
